History

St Michael’s is the parish church for Framlingham, and we have close links to All Saints Saxtead, an adjoining parish to the north west of our small historic market town. The two parishes have historical links dating back to medieval times and have been a combined benefice under the patronage of Pembroke College, Cambridge since the college was given the lands and the patronage of the living by Sir Robert Hitcham in the 17th century.

St Michael's Church has a wealth of history - please click on a link on the right to find out more.

CHAMBER ORGAN

Our Chamber organ was donated to the church by the Millard family.
In autumn 2025 it has taken just over eight days to restore and clean it back to its former glory.    It will be rededicated  next Sunday (9/11)where we will be introducing a new Sanctus and Agnus Dei to the service and also the music of John Taverner will feature.
